Term used to deny knowledge of a securities transaction which another firm may be attempting to confirm or compare. In such cases, the comparison is marked “D.K.” and returned. The member, or member organization, which attempted to compare must, not later than the opening of the exchange on the second business day following the day of the transaction, report the fact to the executing broker for investigation, and the floor broker concerned must investigate such item immediately.
